Catherine Wheel Crochet

The Catherine Wheel Crochet Stitch is usually worked in 2 or more colors, but usually 2.  It is a lot of fun with the pinwheel pattern that it creates.

When more than one colored is used, the pinwheel circles alternate between the colors giving your piece a vivid pattern.

The Catherine Wheel crochet stitch is often used in afghans or throws.  It’s really quite beautiful with its patterns flowing across the full length of the blanket.

It is considered an intermediate stitch.  At certain points in the pattern, you will be pulling through 8 loops.  So a little extra practice might be needed.
